Scouting and The Civitan

Fairfield Civitan and Scouting have had a long history of mutual support. Cub Pack 902 and Scout Troop 902 have held meetings at the Clubhouse for many years. Eagle Scout projects have enhanced the building and grounds of our campus.

Thanks to scouts (and their parents!) from Troop 902 that participated in our field clean up day. A lot of brush was cleared to help maintain the baseball fields

Cub Pack 902 is for boys in grades 1 thru 5. Boys in grades 1 thru 3 are in the more traditional Cub Scout program and participate in den meetings and a monthly pack meeting. Boys in grades 4 and 5 participate in the Webelos Cub Scout program to prepare them for the transition to Boy Scouts. They participate in occasional campouts and other outdoor events, often with Troop 902. The Pack operates throughout the entire year.

Parent participation as Cubmaster, Den Leaders and Committee Members is important to the success of the pack. For more information contact the Committee Chair, Steve Norris, at or 513-368-0564. You can also visit the Scout website.

Scout Troop 902 is open to all boys 10 and a half to 17 years old. Boys under 11 must have completed the fifth grade.

The Troops program includes patrol and troop meetings, campouts, summer camp and the participation in District and Council activities. The troop is active all year long. Rank advancement and developing leadership skills are priorities.

Interested adults serving as Scout Master, Assistant Scout Master and Committee Member are vital to its success. For more information, contact Dave Slabaugh at or 513-967-1943 or visit the Troop website.
